Write all the time. Read all the time.

That was the advice given during a recent webinar. How to become a great writer – write all the time. Read all the time.

Last year I took on the regrettable vow to read all the Pulitzer Prize-winning novels. (Not QUITE crazy enough to try and read all the nominees.) I must say, some of them are a real chore to get through. After a couple of books I begin to crave something whimsical and lighthearted. Like ice cream after a heavy meal.
